OpenTech Offers New Pay by Phone and Chat Services

PHOENIX, Arizona – June 18th, 2013 –OpenTech Alliance, Inc. announced the release of two new INSOMNIAC Live! services - XpressPay and Chat. The services are designed to help self storage owners increase revenue, prevent fraud and reduce operating costs. Both services are offered on a pay as you use model and are supported by OpenTech's team of professional Storage Counselors.

Live! XpressPay is a secure way to offer tenants a 24 hour alternative to paying over the phone with a manager. When a customer calls the facility they can be routed to the XpressPay service and their account is immediately retrieved based on their caller ID. Customers can use touch tone phones or soon speech to get the balance on their account and process a payment. Once the transaction is completed a receipt is emailed to the customer automatically. If the customer needs personal assistance an OpenTech Storage Counselor is available during call center hours. With XpressPay tenants feel safer; they do not have to give their credit card to someone over the phone. Owners are more protected from fraud and theft related to credit card information that falls into the wrong hands.

While XpressPay frees up managers to focus on more marketing activities, the service can also be a new revenue stream. Many of the largest operators already charge a convenience fee as high as $20 to make a payment over the phone instead of using their website or paying in person. The Live! XpressPay solution is also available to self storage companies with in-house call centers.

Live! Chat puts a personal assistant in cyberspace to service prospects looking for self storage. Self storage operators are spending heavily on developing web and mobile sites and then even more on attracting visitors to their sites. OpenTech has empowered their Storage Counselors with a library full of facility information and the leading chat technology available to ensure each visitor gets the answers they need. All chats prompt the visitor for their name and email address to begin the chat session and upon completion of the session a contact note is created with the visitor information, source of contact (chat), and record of the chat dialog.
