Associate Business Development Manager

Job Description:
The Associate BDM reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Business Development.

At OpenTech, an Associate Business Development Manager (ABDM) is responsible for generating and managing revenue opportunities as part of a BDM team in a given territory. You will work in a true team environment and have a team territory quota to achieve. While working with both the installed base of accounts, and developing new business opportunities, you will be interfacing with property managers and business owners to strategically position and sell OpenTech’s products and services into their organization. All BDM’s work inside already established accounts as well as generate new business. Opportunities for advancement are vast.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads through consistent prospecting
  • Develop new relationships and network within the industry
  • Manage existing accounts to cross sell products and services
  • Provide accurate, timely pipeline reports and sales forecasts
  • Use OpenTech’s CRM system to document all customer interaction
  • Travel when needed (a couple of times a year)

Experience:
An ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in direct sales. You must have a track record with demonstrated success in the complete sales process; from cold calling to closing new business. Experience selling technology products and/or services are preferred.
Prior experience selling kiosks or Self Storage industry experience is not required, but is considered desirable.

Compensation is Base Salary + Commissions
Total Compensation package includes a base and commissions. Total compensation for a successful ABDM will range from $35,000 - $55,000. There is no cap on commission.

Excellent Benefits Package with Health Insurance, Dental Benefits, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, AAA membership, 15 days paid vacation and 8 paid holidays per year.

INSOMNIAC Live! Storage Counselor

Job Description:
At OpenTech, the INSOMNIAC™ Live! Storage Counselor provides real-time support for customers using INSOMNIAC kiosks, as well as those utilizing the INSOMNIAC Live! sales and service option. Live! Storage Counselors provide consultative, solution-based sales services, as well as general service and technical support.

Experience:
The ideal candidate is driven to succeed and willing to step outside of the box, and move out of their comfort zone. You are personable, friendly and assertive (some might say you have a "thick skin") but you're never aggressive or pushy. Retail sales experience is a plus, but not necessary. Punctuality and schedule adherence are critical.
